Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ!

What great joy it is to welcome you to the Second Baptist Church of Ogden, Utah where we believe 
in Reaching people for Christ, Maturing people in Christ, and Mobilizing people through Christ.

The Bishop David T. McKinley is the 8th son and 9th child born to Bishop R.A. and Lady
Jyvonne McKinley. Bishop McKinley accepted Christ at a very young age declaring that he
wanted to serve God for the rest of his life. He accepted the call to preach at the young age of 7
years old under the tutelage of his father, Bishop R.A. McKinley of the New Pilgrim Baptist
Church of Los Angeles, CA. After 10+ years of studying, preaching, and teaching the word of
God and with much prayer and supplication under Bishop R.A. McKinley, Bishop David T.
McKinley felt led by the Lord to pack up and move his ministry to California City where he
Pastored the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church and served for 10+ years.


Bishop David T. McKinley is a graduate of the Emmanuel Bible College & Seminary and
holds a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on Old Testament Theology, a
Masters Degree in Christian Education, and a Doctorate Degree in Chistian Education. He also
holds a certificate in leadership from UCLA.


Bishop David T. McKinley is proud to serve as the Dean of the Congress of Christian
Education for the Southwest Region of the Progressive National Baptist Convention. He has
previously held the position of Vice President of the Los Angeles Baptist Pastors and Ministers
Conference, Chair of the Religious Affairs Committee (NAACP), President of the Clergy-Law
enforcement Board of California City, and many more.


On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Bishop David T. McKinley was elected to serve as the Senior
Pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Ogden, Utah where he is excited to further the Gospel
and Kingdom of God.


Bishop McKinley is married to the love of his life, Mrs. La’Quisha McKinley, and together
they have one daughter, Faith, who is 9 years old. To God be the glory for the things that He has
done!
