Greetings from our Pastor
To God be the glory for all the things He has done. Truly the Lord just keeps on blessing us, in spite of our shortcomings and deficiencies. For if the truth be known, we have not done all the things that we should have and/or could have done; and the things that we should not do, we sometimes find ourselves doing. We are especially grateful to Him for the precious gift of His beloved Son, Jesus the Christ.
I can hardly believe that another year is upon us! What a mighty God we serve to allow us such a privileged opportunity. I want to personally thank each and every one of you who has played a part in the overall success that we have obtained so far. A body includes all of its various parts; all of you are a key and important piece of this body of believers. Even though we have a long way to go, we are grateful to God because we have been blessed in some areas that have made a difference in our witnessing ministry.
God has smiled upon us and has allowed us to continue “reaching people” in various ways and through different ministries such as our Hispanic Ministry, our Touch of Paradise Ministry and now…our College Adoption Program Ministry. God has granted us new mercies and opportunities each day to continue “teaching people” through our teaching, preaching and/or spoken word ministry.
He has even allowed us to move forward in “maturing people” with our re-vamped Bible School that takes special emphasis on meeting the potential students where their needs are and allowing the word of God to take them where they need to be. And last, but not least, He has enabled us to advance in “mobilizing people” by identifying what our purposes are, and most importantly, by identifying what God’s will is for our lives, including Acts 1:8 with all the trimmings.
I believe now, more than any other time in history, that the church… even the whole church need to stand up and accept her Biblical mandate and be the light that Christ left us to be. May God bless you and keep you is my prayer.
Sincerely, Pastor Petty and Sister Petty
